Web Design!

Hi, I'm 16 and I want to earn a bit of cash by designing some simple websites for some small, local firms, here's what I've created so far:

That looks like a good design so far, nice effort. Only suggestion I could make is to ease off on the flash; having flash for the navigation bar precludes a wide range of users from navigating your website.

Indeed, plus the fact it doesn't make for great SEO. If you do want a flash site then I suggest at least having a non-flash alternative that is heavily CSS based so search engines and text/speech based browsers can read it easily.

Thanks for the tips, is it just the menubar that's the problem?

I also have standard html links at the bottom of the page...is it worth doing another non-flash version? I'm not too concerned about SEO as about 90% of my marketing is going to be done the ol' fashioned way by flyers, in person and word of mouth. In terms of web-advertising, I'm trying to get listed on some local Cambridge websites.
