Thats a nice crisp, clean and easy to read site you have done there - good work. Love the photograph in the header there too

Thanks. It seems to be working as well - we have already had one booking from New Zealand!! The photos are all by my Dad - makes it alot easier to setup a site when you have nice content

Have also made a basic site for a new health and safety consultancy in London:

121 Safety - 121 Safety

Fairly basic site - proves the other end of the spectrum for my previous comment!

Quite, easy to navigate and such which allows the easy browsing of what is essentially mundane content. Good job.

I like the CSS drop-down menus as well

Having trouble getting the css menus to work perfectly in IE - the hover borders cause resizing mayhem.

Thanks for the comments

IE causes mayhem with all but the most basic CSS and requires a fair few hacks

I've given IE 7 a try out and that seems to render compliant CSS correctly or at least in such a way as not to mess up the look or layout to such an extent it is noticable. Microsoft plan to roll it out as an update in the not too distant future I believe.

Very nice site that - excellent job. I especially like the google maps addition - very swish.

From a customer point of view - I like to holiday in the uk and often use self-catering a couple of things occured to me...

I'd like to see more pictures of the accomodation e.g. the bedroom and the bathroom (and possibly the option to click on them for a larger view). From my point of view you can never have too many pictures of the place you're paying for!

I find the 50p meter off putting. It just comes across as mean! Electricity costs are not that high and should really be covered in the rent. My experiences of metered accomodation is that they are all set to maximum tariff and it just feels like you're being taken advatage of.

I'm sure this isn't the case on your part but for me it throws up a negative image.

Hope you don't mind the comments but things like this DO affect who I'll book with, so I thought you might like to know!

Regards,
Gary.

I love the Devon site - very nice.

If your looking for links to get the site more traffic from the search engines, then let me know - I have a few travel sites and my main business is accommodation related.
