Default RouterTech - Technical support site for all things networking - 10/05/2006, 1:44 AM

I can never resist a little website plug when there is the option

As the tagline says, RouterTech is a site I built to deal with technical support for all things networking. We have teams of knowledgeable people doing everything from answering support questions to writing firmwares to improve manufacturers stock offerings. We have forums for all types of networking hardware and software, from routers and modems to cables, switches and hubs.

The site is built around the phpBB bulletin board system with extensive modifications; a knowledge base, portal and CMS to name but a few.

Oh and who could forget the link: http://www.routertech.org

All comments and questions are welcome, and please feel to join the forums if you have any networking related questions or issues

Very nice Kieran - like the design and plenty of content already!

Stupid question but I'm not a techie - does networking include wireless internet connections?

Yes, it does include wireless connections. Essentially anything that involves connecting computers or devices treated as computers together as well as the internet as a whole is covered on the site

We have a number of contributors so we expect the quantity of content to grow quite rapidly over the next few months. We also plan to make some more software and firmware releases soon which seems to be pulling in the users quite nicely at the moment.

Any issues reported with Skype and Wireless internet reported? I can't make a call longer than 50 seconds, because it cuts me out - I'm assuming its the internet connection.

Although I haven't seen anything specifically reported about that, there may be things in a given setup that could cause something like it. Because it may take a few posts to solve your problem it is probably best if you post up over on the RT forums and some of the techs can help you out there rather than us making a load of OT posts here
