Default My XILO link on main site - 15/02/2007, 6:59 PM

just wondering if anyone else has a problem with "Internet explorer cannot display the web page" when trying to get to the my.xilo.net page?

Firefox says: Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at my.xilo.net.

I don't get the message you are seeing with firefox while logged in or logged out. Can't speak for IE.

I've had it on more than one occasion over the last year and a half. Also, sometimes my bookmark doesn't work either. I leave it a day and its usually rectified but never have worked it out.

Thats on 2 seperate computers as well.

What bookmark are you using? A manually added one to my.xilo.net or one of the URL you end up at after you visit the my.xilo URL? If its the latter then it might not work due to sessions.

I've had no problems accessing the site at all.

One thing I have noticed [and I should really get around to sending a ticket for this] is that when in php admin when I try and export data in IE it gives a timeout error - do it in Firefox and its fine.

Sounds like an IE issue more than anything else; firefox will not give a timeout unless there has been a data flow interruption from the server or a timeout code is sent from the server, so if you have a script that runs for a while, it will run with it.

In my limited experience of IE, it seems to have some form of internal timeout, although not having used it in a while I may be wrong on this.
