Default XS4 old vs XS4 new? - 13/01/2007, 4:52 PM

I just noticed on my panel that my plan is XS4 old. It gives me the option of changing the plan to XS4 new. What is the difference? Should I do this?

I also noticed that the XS4 account (old or new?) should give 1500MB disk space, however the panel is only showing me as having 1000MB - not that I am anywhere near that limit, or likely to be there in the near future

Cheers
Darren

Darren,

Feel free to upgrade to the new XS4. Unfortunately, there is no way for us to do it in bulk on all accounts (H-Sphere does not have a tool).

Apart from having greater resources - disk space is allocated differently.

Before, if you had 1000MB disk space any databases, mailboxes were additional to that;
i.e 1000MB Disk + 20MB (2 mailboxes) + 30MB database = 1050MB which means you were over allocated.

Now, your complete quota is 1000GB meaning any mailboxes or databases you create are taken from this quota.

We will over time change all accounts to the new packages as well as the new quota method. You are still getting what you pay for - just that you have been getting more disk space for free for the last few months (however, new package limits should more than make up for that).

Any questions, please ask.
Matt
