Hi,

I have a small problem with Outlook Express and the secure POP/SMTP ports. One of my users uses OE, and every time it tries to connect to the secure ports, it says that the name on the security certificate does not match that to which it is connecting (presumably because it is connecting to mail.mydomain.com and the server responds as *.xilo.net).

Apparently you can't turn off that error in OE. Is there any other way round this?

Prefixing xilo.net with the name of your server will point to the same location as mail.yourdomain.tld and so as long as you use the correct port you will not get the error as the names will match and you will be able to connect.
