Very wierd then, never heard of anything like that. Do either of you have the Google toolbar?

Hey, if you can direct all Google traffic to Xilo, you guys will be loaded

Only examples I have seen of valid URLs being redirected to somewhere their DNS is not pointing is:-

1. Spyware/Malware
2. DNS poisoning (this was a test conducted on a LAN as a proof of concept when some people doubted me that it could be done )

As people have already said that they don't have spyware etc. and I sincerely doubt any DNS poisoning has gone on, I am at a loss as to why this is happening to some people other than simple random ISP glitches. Its all fine from here incidentally. Has anyone tried accessing other sites they know to be in the same datacentre? Thats usually a good way to weed out ISP orientated problems.

It is a bit of a puzzler! I don't have any 'toolbars' installed.

My computers are on home network (laptop wireless and desktop wired) and sit behind a firewall.

Xilo is the only site that gets redirected, and always to google UK it's really weird. I'll run a few checks for spyware later on.

I think it's just a random problem with my ISP. It would be interesting to hear if anyone else on Freenetname Broadband (or ic24/madasafish/Brightview) is redirected or not!

No problems here.

Have you tried running nslookup from the command prompt to see what IP address the DNS is returning?

Ian
