| Reseller ![]() Posts: 81 Join Date: Dec 2005 | Not sure this is in the right part of the forum! ![]() If I have a reseller account, and have 2 or 3 domains on this account, are they all sitting on the same IP address, or is each domain in a different IP range? I understood that sharing the same ip caused problems amongst the search engines, especially if you link to each of these sites. I have another domain I want to add to this reseller package, which is low bandwith, and is going to be for the next 12 months, just one page, but I want to get this page in the search engines. Basically, it'll be the new domain for my business, and it'll have to go through the dreaded Google sandbox before I use it. |

We have a number of sites on the same IPs and have never had an issue. I am to understand unless the site is doing heavy interlinking of hundreds of sites - you have nothing to worry about. Hope this helps ![]() Matt Internet Hosting and Online Services w: http://www.xilo.net/ h: http://my.xilo.net/ t: +44 (0) 845 034 6444 f: +44 (0) 845 034 6555 |

| Reseller ![]() Posts: 81 Join Date: Dec 2005 | Thanks guys. This could be coincedence, but the newest domain I have added to my reseller account, is slowly been removed from MSN. The first domain is listed fine. MSN didn't bring a great deal of traffic, even so, it's worrying that it's happening on MSN, and I was wondering if the shared IP address had anything to do with it. The newer domain on the reseller account does link to the first domain, on a number of pages. Anyone seen this type of thing happen to them? Darren |

| Reseller ![]() Posts: 81 Join Date: Dec 2005 | Panic over. MSN seems to be now, re-indexing the site - strange goings on. Another question.. I want to add another domain name to my reseller account, I know I have to create an account, but how do I order the domain name? |

You would order the domain from our site (here). Just enter your account email and password and it will be added to your existing billing account. Once you have done this, login at https://my.xilo.net/ and update the nameservers to the ones listed in your welcome email ![]() The domain should then start resolving within around 10-15 minutes. Don't try to view it before this time otherwise you may have to wait upto 24 hours.
