Default MySQL Host Name - 24/11/2005, 1:17 PM
Hi,

I want to install Joomla v 1.0.4. I thought that I had seen somewhere on your site that I could install via your easy install facility, but can only see Mambo there, am I missing something?

I don't mind doing the install, but can you tell me the name of the MySql host? I am on shared hosting, and with my other host it is not localhost and I presume that it will probably not be localhost here either.

Can you tell me if Apache safe mode is running? If it is then I will not be able to do a browser installation of Joomla, but will need to install manually.

Hi Matt,

OK I think I've got it, I see that the MySql host name is given once the database is created.

However, just need to know if Apache safe mode is on?
