Default MX entries for just transferred domains - 10/10/2005, 10:09 AM

I've just changed the nameservers on ten domains I host. Have set up accounts on the server. Most of the websites now appear to work, but the email does not. I presume I have to change the MX entries for the domains? Can you advise to what I should change them?

I seem to be able to SEND emails but the incoming are still going to the previous host. (I can view them as webmail on that server).

Hope you can help.

Had another thought.
Could it be that the ns1 is still registered with the previous host? If I do a whois on www.scottishjerky.com I see that masgrahosting is still the ns1. As it is failing, I guess the website is tripping through to ns2, which is
[host address removed to protect resellers]. Does the mail go to ns1?

Having problems also with www.bwconsulting.co.uk and www.dunrobinpiping.com which have been correctly (I think) changed according to whois. Cannot upload to these domains.

Finally, when trying to change the ns values, I get the error message - attribute not unique? Can anyone advise?

Hi Brian,

You have the NS nearly correct apart from the entry for your old hosts;

NS1.MASGRAHOSTING.COM 209.97.203.34

When you update your DNS you should not include this one. Currently you have 3 of our servers which is correct.

If you need any help with this, please either raise a support ticket at http://support.xilo.net/, or post your question in the resellers forum which I have now added you to.

Tom
