Default forbidden filename - 27/08/2008, 12:18 PM

I have uploaded a file to my site which was intended to be available for download. Problem is that the filename contains apostrophes and ftp downloads for that file fail because it has a forbidden filename. So I thought I would change the filename to remove the apostrophes (via ftp). BUT cant do that because it has a forbidden filename. So I thought I would delete the file. BUT cant do that because it has a forbidden filename. Trouble is that I have automated backups on these files (they are liable to be updated) and when the backup script tries to backup the directory with the bad filename, it breaks down.....because it has a forbidden filename.

Can anyone suggest a way to get rid of this file or should I raise a support ticket and beg them for mercy in light of my stupidity in uploading a forbidden filename in the first place.

Use the file manager in CPanel to rename or remove the file
