Different in what way?

They should be the same apart from the time they run of course.

You're going to have to post some examples of stats that differ, then we might be able to proffer some reason or solution.

The stats for yesterday are given as below, the first number is the one from the awstats in the control panel, the second number is the one I set up to run.

Number of visits 59 44
Pages 414 230
Hits 3861 2467
Bandwidth 14.34 MB 7.99 MB

Well - just from those. Your awstats is not seeing as much as the default one is.

This maybe due to your stats running at a certain time and only seeing a partial days log file or just due to the data your awstats is configured to collect.

I would check the awstats (ours) value against the bandwidth value in the control panel for web and see what that says - disregard FTP/pop/SMTP as that would be additional.

The http for that domain saw 34.07 bandwidth for that day.

I kept the same settings that the awstats hsphere used, I will set the cron to go roughly the same time as the control panel and see what happens over the next 24hours. I was just puzzled to see one only reporting half of what the other did when it is the same script.

Okay I have changed the timing to the same as the CP one, and they are still different but not such a massive gap as before. Will have to live with it as I can't see any other reason why they would be different.

Is there any update on my transfer yet? I see my ticket has been escalated, but I don't know what's happening.

Thanks.

All my sites are moved now, I just wanted to say thankyou to Keiran and Matt for any advice you gave me it was much appreciated.

The move was pretty successful except for a small hitch, I forgot a couple of the email users used IMAP instead of pop3 so they lost their email. Doh!

Glad your move went well, sorry about your e-mail losses - its an easy mistake to make - you'll know for next time you move things around though
