All servers from memory run every 24.

If you needed it to run every 4 (or less) we'd suggest something like StuffedTracker or BBclone to give live stats.

In addition, if you are running a blog I can highly recommend hooking up the the wordpress.com stats system by use of a plugin. The stats are comprehensive and the service is free.

Thanks, set to 24 hours. Now all is left is for me to work out how to install webalizer outside the CP.

Why would you need more than one stats program outside of CPanel? Remember that every program you add bears an additional load on server resources....

I knew that one was coming

I prefer to look at Awstats for personal use (outside of the CP as I don't know where I will be and on what PC) but if anyone else is looking at site stats graphically webalizer presents history better - showing increase/decrease over months easier at a quick glance. Awstats from what I have looked at only presents charts on a month by month basis.

It'll only be the one domain which runs both.

If you look at it only for personal use then you want to stick to CPanel. You can access CPanel from anyway - all you need is a web browser.

Unless all your ports are blocked at work (like mine are).

Speaking of which, is there any alternative way that I can access my cPanel account while at work? I notice that the port number is 2092, but because of security, most of our ports are closed at work, meaning I can never access anything except @Mail.

Is there a way around this?

PS. I keep trying to subscribe to this thread, but for some reason the "Thread Tools" drop down menu doesn't seem to drop down...

Yes, there *is* a way around this but before I provide the link I want to stress that NO ONE should use this unless the ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO because of load and other issues. Now thats out of the way, there is a system called CPanel Proxy which you can install in a subdomain on your account to enable access to CPanel behind a strict firewall.

Skatiechik, in your case if you decide to use the proxy you should perhaps elect to uninstall your own copy of awstats given that its not really needed if you can get in to CPanel through the proxy.

Dom, with your thread problem, I'm not sure why the box isn't dropping down but when you reply to a thread by clicking "New Reply" you can opt to be notified by using the drop down box in the page (its near the bottom, just above the submit button). Having said that, I get subscribed to threads even if I just reply using quick reply. Perhaps its because I'm green.

OK thanks for the tips! I was using the 'Quick Reply' feature to post, so I didn't get the subscription dropdown menu.

Would anyone know why Awstats gives me different statistics to the Awstats inside the control panel?
