Oo I like the sounds of that. How can I remove the public_html folder and set another folder name then? Because I've already added my domains, and the folders have been created within public_html, will I have to delete them, add the domains again (specifying a new folder) and re-upload my files to the folders? Or can I change the default directory for my addon domains from within cPanel somehow?

Thanks for your help.

:-)

You will have to delete them - cPanel limitation unfortunately. When re-adding, simply change the path from public_html/domain.co.uk to domain.co.uk.

It wont delete the old folders so you should be able to just move them with your FTP client.

I don't really want to upload them directly into the root; I'd much rather it have it's own directory as well, just to keep things organised.
Now you have confused me as in my account I clearly have a separate folder for the domain which Xilo choose to be my primary one on indigo. I haven't moved this website yet, but why do I have one and you don't?

Well I took a break and coming back to it today I realised I hadn't set the .pl to be executable. Doh! Now I can see it all working with no 505 error so just a matter of working out how to set a cron job for it now. So if other people like me want to make your stats accessible via your domain name remember to make the script executable.

Your primary domain will always be in public_html and not have a directory named to the domain. If there is a directory matching the master domain, it was either created manually - or if we have moved any content, would simply be from the old server.

Strange, oddity then as I haven't added it and not aware of anything being moved. Ah well if it is just a case of re-adding the domain and moving the folders out of public_html then there isn't an issue. I am glad I know about it now before I move the domain which has been assigned as the main one.

Can I re-name public html to the main domain?

Sweet. Managed to do that this afternoon thankfully. I think it's time to update all the DNS thingies and whatnot now, unless there's something else I've missed. I'll update my support ticket now.

EDIT: Actually, I need to do the databases thing first.
