Did they user register with their username 'administrator' or did that user also have Administrator privileges?

Is your WP installation up to date?

Sounds to me like you simply deleted your own admin account, rather than the one that was registered.

This operation makes a few deletes (a lot if you had a lot of posts) to the database, and no changes to files.

Can you not just restore your database from a recent backup?

As Kieran has said, sounds like you deleted your own account.

Although they registered as 'administrator', it does not mean they could do anything with that. It was simply a name.

Also, WordPress is provided on a best-effort basis as part of the Fantastico suite of free applications. Once Fantastico update them to work with cPanel, they will update in your control panel. This may not be the same day as they are released but do follow soon after.

The latest WP update is very recent and will follow soon in Fantastico. If you are not happy with waiting that long, I'd suggest you download and install the application manually in future to get around this problem.

Hi Jessica,

We understand that, however, without being able to see the database before you deleted it and started again - we're not able to even see what could have happened.

If there is a repeat of such activity and when you delete said user you are not able to login again, please contact us immediately.
