Default How long should it take to get a new account set up? - 24/01/2005, 4:59 PM

Hi - It's been 3 days since my card was charged, and despite an email and a support ticket being sent to you, I've still waiting for an email confirming my login details and procedures. Is this normal?

It's a bit irritating to have to keep viewing webpages with "Fantastic Support, Dedicated Support, Live Support, 24/7 Support!" when I haven't really seen any so far.

Sorry to be a bit grumpy, but it wasn't what I was expecting.

Rich

PS: You spelt "support" wrong in the title of your support page 8).

A: I know I haven't hit the time limit for the ticket yet and B: have just got a domain registration confirmation email, four minutes ago. Still waiting for login details and instructions for SiteHost though.

Thanks for your help,

Rich,

Please accept my apologies.

I have manually "pushed" certain parts of the account into our automation system. You should start to get a few emails.

I will also ensure your ticket is resolved shortly.

Matt

Hi - thanks for your help. I've received email confirmation of the domain registration and propagation, but nothing yet on access for placing content on the site. The ticket above is still open. Any news?

richg, it can sometimes take a while to get your account setup, because xilo like to wait for the domain name to propogate to all dns servers before you get access - that way your site is 100% live from the moment you get it. dns propogation can take around 48 hours providing there are no problems. generally i find xilo support very good, so don't panic just yet!

Makes lots of sense when you put it like that. Have had so many problems with hosting companies in the past, but I'll stop worrying for a while. Thanks very much...
