You have to do backups yourself, although they can be made to be automated. I have written a utility for this purpose - it can be downloaded here:

They share an IP address and apache (web server on the server) points the visitor to the correct files. You only need a dedicated IP for one domain if that domain will be serving secure HTTPS content, such as an online shop and for this purpose your one free IP can be used, or if more are required they can be purchased from XILO. Dedicated IP addresses can be allocated (or not) for every new account you create with your reseller web host manager
EDIT: You can also view sites via IP address, but you need the username of the account you wish to view as well. You can do this by:

This is possible; they update their nameservers to point to your reseller name servers which can/will be setup by xilo to be ns1.yourresellerdomain.com and ns2.yourresellerdomain.com. This will then allow their cpanel provided by yourself to administer everything for their domain. There is no need for a customer to change the providor of their domain name for a domain to work with your reseller account.
