Default phpBB RC1 Released - 20/05/2007, 6:45 PM

It has to be shouted from the rooftops considering how long we have all been waiting for this day.

phpBB 3 RC1 IS FINALLY HERE FOLKS!

You can read the release annoucement and download the release from this thread on phpBB.

Huge thanks to the phpBB team for their hard work on this release, it looks superb and seems to work flawlessly.

Feel free to use this thread to discuss the new release. Screen shots of installs on your websites are most welcome.

Thanks for the heads-up Kieran - I've just been having a play. It was good timing because I'm just setting up a new Forum.

The template-cache threw me initially ["why aren't my changes appearing?!?!"] but once I stopped swearing at the keyboard and actually read the tabs on the admin panel, all became clear!

The conversion from 2.0.22 worked seamlessly.

It's looking good so far - couple of small niggles with my template mods [style sheet clashes mainly] but once it's all working I'll post a screenshot.

Andy

My question is are you guys running this on Xilo servers.

Check this link as there was a question mark over this and I don't want to upgrade only to find it's not compatible.

Cheers
Paul
