I am as new as you can be to Linux, I've got Fedora Core 5 on a pc and a pci wireless card in it that came with Linux drivers. The problem is I do not have a clue how to install these drivers, or anything, in Linux. Does anyone have an idiot's guide to driver installation in Linux?

What type of package are the linux drivers? For example do they have a .rpm extension?

Its a folder called "RT2500-Linux-STA-1.4.6.6" with a couple of folders inside called "Module" and "Utility", and all sorts of files I don't recognise on the insides. I dont see any off hand with the .rpm extension.

Turns out is was a bad card, I tried a different one and had no trouble at all- Thanks anyway!
