Well after 1and1 f**king up the server and loosing my site for the whole day so far I went with a friends recommendation and signed up to SiteHost+.

My order is being processed but all seems good so far and Matt is very helpful so fingers crossed my sites will be up by the end of today then I will tell you all about them.

Getting used to HSphere takes some time. I have done Plesk and Helm but this is a new one.

How do I password protect directories?

Hello Adam,

You need to use the "htProtect" feature in the control panel.

Take a look here for some further information.

Just working out the bits about default password file and username etc but there is a lot of help stuff so I should suss it.
